The majority of us who played WoW Classic acknowledge that ret paladins were the laughing stock of the dps world.

You have to also keep in mind how fast they get their bis equipment. Warrior is among the hardest classes to get your equipment, compared to other classes such as mages and healers since you're not gon na possess AQ or hell BWL available at the start.
I'm maintaining locks from this because they need amounts of hit equipment to do decent damage, therefore it will be slow to gear up. But for warlocks the best part is you'll be one of the players in the long run since warlock is your least played classes in classic.
