Esports Insider states: RuneScape is among the most well-known games also, despite forthcoming two decades old, it has been boast a respectable player base. Jagex has, for the most part, prevented classifying any of its ventures until now but, based off the ceasing of Deadman Mode and the newest hire, we guess it is going to take aim at RuneScape's competitive efforts from a different angle.
Jagex released a new announcement Friday with added facts regarding the investigation and firing of an OSRS Moderator:"Further to yesterday's announcement, we could confirm that none of our players' bank or card details had been endangered. We work with an industry-respected compliant processor, to purposefully avoid staff having access to players' full card or bank details. This applies when players decide to store their information at payment stage for any future purchases. Jagex undergoes routine, third party testing to ensure we keep the highest security standards"
On Thursday, Jagex affirmed a part of the Old School Runescape group had been dismissed. Indications point to the dismissal of Mod Jed while the group member's name was not revealed. The information comes three days following the Twitter account of OSRS Mod Jed was shut down. According redditors, the mod's Runescape accounts are prohibited.
Mod Jed has been in the center. The mod was accused of using his position with Jagex to affect the PvP clan by which Mod Jed was associated, ROT. Here is the official notice published by Jagex:"We confirm that a Member of The Old School Team has been dismissed from employment at Jagex following gross manipulation of moderator privileges.
During our rigorous routine system checks, irregular activity was identified on small amount of accounts, including the movement of riches and objects back into the live game.Following our investigation, we were able to solve the issue prior to any significant impact was made into the broader game, or economy. We have taken steps to return things and GP to any accounts that are affected. Whilst we do not return items or stone, we believe that given this unusual situation, we wanted to guarantee no players dropped out to the rogue actions of a member of team.
