They need to ditch Ashdale
buy OSRS gold as the tutorial and create a new one from scratch that does a suitable job introducing the legitimate match to you. For helping ease you into other 14, make obvious paths or guides. Fixing those items (among a lot of other things I would imagine) could be a huge help with not only earning new runescape players with cellular, but also keeping them playing. They did a few tests and discovered that more runescape players stuck around when they had been sent to guide island so the shift was made around the center of 2018. The changes are not all that big but it has the exact same rework from under tides that are cursed.
I don't think that you're giving MTX enough credit tbh, a number of these matches that are doing really really well that have plenty of MTX are distinct to RS in a couple of ways - they have no end goal in terms of progress, there isn't any 5.4b xp mark where you go oh shit okay there is nothing more which MTX can get me and you then move oh fuck jesus christ I wasted plenty of money on thisparticular Games with this rather MTX model don't have an end point and that is by design, individuals who twist 5.4b (or perhaps max/a couple 99s/120s ect) are fulfilled with an emptiness that's somewhat unparalleled and therefore they will stop after they meet that goal, additional games don't have that kinda objective.
Likewise other games mostly had MTX in their inception, RS runescape players are largely conservative in character (although you can argue that this has changed lately ) and so enormous changes like including MTX and producing the runescape game mostly MTX centric will drive them away, and it has in droves, to OSRS. I do however agree that the runescape game is much too complicated for the overall market, particularly the new runescape player experience but also because you've said having to try to remember each and every key on your keyboard and what activity it evolves to, the more customisability is in some way the downfall of RS3. Generally people prefer simplicity that's evident in OSRS' runescape player count. I don't feel that you're completely correct though, as others have mentioned among the matters with RS3 is that you may make it as simple or as complicated as you want.
If it's something you can play with the legacy interface mode with the excess action bar now and throw full revo on and be fine for every boss ingame, you are not gonna get kill time documents but surely everything is available to you, particularly with hotkeys, I think that is what they have been going for using RS3, being able to customize everything but surely due to this the ability ceiling is remarkably high and possibly not being able to master the runescape game for a number of people is offputting and they'd prefer not to be there, however I do not think you have much of an argument there.
Either the execution they moved for was retarded and this push to enter the mobile market is retarded when you truly think about the runescape game which RS3 is. If you think you are gonna be in a position to do anything than afk revo on mobile then you are very misguided, and maybe because of that there will be a massive push to make the entire match afk revo (that I think they have to some extent) but I think they realise that they will lose much of the runescape playerbase they have left to it. With releasing EoC because attempting to make RS more broadly available did not go well they learnt their lesson.Time investment is not a sign of how great the service is. Netflix for example is exactly the same cost as OSRS but although nobody invests the same quantity of time since they do OSRS, Netflix is definitively a better service for the price. Netflix delivers reliable and consistent streaming of HD tv. You understand just what you are paying for and you get nothing less. You will spend more time playing OSRS and find it more enjoyable, but for $11 a month, you should not need to deal with server issues, account safety problems, game integrity difficulties and a lack of customer service. The point is that we are
pay to get quest done in osrs owed to what we're currently paying.
