Overall I feel like the developers do not know what people who perform with Franchise want from it. They need realism, simplicity of usage, historical stats, and most importantly (remark here), they wish to create their own stories. They don't want your weird made-up storylines, They just want the flexibility and desire to create them themselves.I would love when Madden had concealed evaluations. I really don't want to know the numbers Madden players have. I know"Madden Ratings" are so big now and it's a marketing thing, but it would be better if we had vague grades or some such, and broader swings week to week to mimic real life.
It's no secret in baseball that they use a scale. 80 is incredibly rare, but it's the very best score. If your defense is an 80 you are Omar Vizquel or Ozzie Smith or whoever. Above average and 60 being considerably above average, with 50 being average and 55 being 50 hovers around. A Madden participant using a 60 or 65 hit tool may be quite a productive hitter and potentially a celebrity should they also had 60 or 65 electricity and speed.Anyway, there is some uncertainty in those numbers like IRL. We shouldn't have the ability to look at a listing of agents and know that guy is an 89 because that is unrealistic and that guy is a 91 speed. When you put them both on a 40 yard dash and the 91 guy won, that's not likely to happen every time. Some people are quicker in pads, some folks operate better and accelerate etc.
More vagueness would really make Madden game more fun and interesting, but I don't believe they would ever want to give the free advertising they get from having folks dissect their"Madden Ratings". Inside Madden's rating system, I can make any Madden player bad or great due to controlling the numbers. When I had been creating Madden game, the"overalls" and evaluations would be concealed - I'd keep it to unite results/workout results. I would have far more in-depth stats you would have to evaluate and guess how great the Madden participant is - only seeing an"overall" completely kills scouting - if they really do overalls it ought to be how something like Front Office Football does - each team has a set of scouts which come to a different decision.
It is not really the amounts I've a issue with, but more about what Madden allows you to do with progression - personally, I wish they would only have some randomized score cap behind the scenes to get every Madden participant - a few have high, some low, some moderate - perhaps some Madden players have a top cap that just the ideal trainer can get from him (Believe Harbaugh with Alex Smith) - maybe some Madden gamers will have a high score in a certain system or chemistry which increases has them reach their cap, but becomes reduced outside the machine or off the team (Madden has something similar to this now, but it does not require much assessing ). So I should not say I'd eliminate ratings, I don't like. I'm wanting to mimic American Football, I do not wish to feel like I am playing Morrowind.
