This is one of the problem that I have seen in case of emergencies. Some patients in some circumstances need emergency intubation but sometimes personnel well trained in intubation are not available at that moment.

The process of intubation requires some training and some experience to intubate correctly in case of emergencies. Most of the time when inexperienced personnel intubate, it goes into the esophagus and not trachea. If there is an instrument that can help us intubate without much training and experience, that would be a great welcome.

Of course there is Laryngeal mask airway, which is easy to insert but if there is a device that helps us in intubating correctly that would be helpful

Quite simply there are a lack of medical devices which are targeted for doctors in developing countries. My team and myself would like to be able to help with some of those issues. I'm am not asking for much, I would just like for you to let me know if you need any help.

So if you have a problem, I would encourage you to submit it to the site. For instance, if you are having trouble with a certain procedure (taking too long, not effective) please let me know. We are available to help with your existing devices, modify your existing devices, or may even be able to build new devices. I am leading a team of biomedical engineers from the US which are interested in this venture.

We hope to some day create a sustainable venture which will develop medical devices for individuals such as yourself.

If you are still unclear please send me an email at [email protected]

    Thanks,

    Hi DevCMD,
what exactly do you do and how can a doctor like myself help you. We are not biomedical researchers and not sure how we may participate. If i am interested and join in your project what will I be doing. What is the role I will be playing. Are you looking for senior doctors only. Can you please explain in detail.

What is your project about. Developing medical solutions for developing countries is bit vague. What exactly you would are doing. Any open source products you have developed so far.

    Thanks,
I would be happy to join if I am interested.  less
