Luke → USMLE: Frequently asked question Where can I take the usmle exam ? You can take the step 1, 2 CK, 3 (except step-2CS) in your home country in one of the prometric centers. (the place where you take your gre, gmat etc)
I am interested in usmle. What should I do first? Visit the websites www.usmle.org and www.ecfmg.org . You will find most of the stuff there.

Luke → USMLE: @ umer. The main creteria for giving the usmle is that you did your medicine from an approved medical college. You can give step-1 after finishing your basic non-clinical subjects.

Since you are in chennai, it has a big Kaplan center. Just google kaplan and chennai and you may find the actual address and the phone number of the center. She was dehydrated and I started her on Normal Saline (NS). I would like to know if RL (ringer lactate) can be given at this stage. or is RL contraindicated in uncontrolled DM with high blood sugar ? Diabetic ketoacidosis. If so why?

Luke → umer: I assume sindh medical college is a good institution. There should be some of your seniors in the US. Contact them and develop relationship, they may be able to help you a lot of ways
